This weekend was good for so many reasons! I met some people that have been inspiring me and bringing sunshine into my life via YouTube…I returned to NYC and my old neighborhood of Astoria and enjoyed it may I add…My husband and I had a lot, probably the most solo time we have had since we had our little guy over two years ago….Oh and lots of other things that I promise to share!
I plan on writing a full blog post about this tomorrow but I wanted get in touch with you guys. I was thinking so much about my Channel and you guys while I was at IMATS this weekend. I am grateful for each and every single one of you that chose to hit that subscribe button. You did it, I assume, because you wanted to see more and that means so much to me.
What some of you may not know is I have been a lot of things in my life. Some of those things: a singer/songwriter, a Miss America Contestant, a girl behind a desk in the corporate world, a suicide prevention counselor, an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention, a sister, a friend, a daughter, a wife and a Mom.
Being a Mom is without a doubt the hardest job I have ever had but it is also without a doubt, the best. I love my son so much it hurts-my friend Jill said it best when she said, “My heart has stretch marks.” He helps me see the magic in the little things. Over time we can become hardened and we forget how magical the world really is! He gives me faith. He gives me hope. I am sure he was sent to this world to show me all these things and more.
Sometimes Most of the time we mommas forget to put ourselves into the mix and get into the habit of losing ourselves. It’s one of the biggest challenges we are faced with. Being on here, sharing a tweet with you, a video, a blog post, hearing about your day, your favorite lipstick or the liner you bought and hated…it keeps me from losing myself <3 Thank you.
I am so passionate about what I am doing here and sharing with you and I am thrilled to have you with me along for the ride.
Please remember it is never to late for you! I have had many dreams in my life. Never quit! Do something you love that brings you JOY…you will most certainly succeed when you put all of yourself into something! It won’t be easy but you will love each step of the journey.
I wish you all a life full of dreams come true,
Dianna
