I can hardly believe it myself and I am Happy with a capital H!

Many of you may know that L’Oreal, YouTube and Destination Beauty launched a competition for the Next Beauty Guru. Hopefuls submitted a 4 minute video featuring a signature RED Carpet Look. (You can see all three of my entries here and also here on my blog with a list of all the products I used to create the looks.) Many amazing videos and youtubers entered! I was really impressed by the videos I watched which made me nervous and anxious to hear news about who the winner would be…

Last week I got an email informing me that I was the potential grand prize winner and a few days later I got a call that confirmed this amazing fact. I was blown away and SOOOOO excited! To have this opportunity to work with a brand like L’Oreal is truly a dream come true for me. L’Oreal has been inspiring and empowering women for decades and reminding us of our worth with their catch phase, “Because you’re worth it.” It is truly an honor and I look forward to working with L’Oreal, YouTube and the Destination Beauty Channel.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been celebrating with me since the news broke this morning. Your kind words and support mean SO very much to me!

If you are feeling down and out and like you can’t catch a break remember that the universe works in mysterious ways. Sometimes a closed door is leading you to the door you really need to be walking through. Here is to a fabulous 2012 and to everyone finding an open door they need to be walking through!
